Dubai, UAE; February 19, 2013: Award winning jewellery retailer Pure Gold Jewellers witnessed a double digit growth of 20% at the company's Abu Dhabi Duty Free operations for the year ended 2012. Pure Gold Jewellers is the sole concessionaire for precious jewellery at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport in agreement with Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).

We have benefited from the consistent growth of passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport with more airlines and routes. The sales increase reported by Pure Gold Jewellers reflects the record growth that Abu Dhabi International Airport continues to witness and the increase in passenger spending. According to recent ADAC figures Abu Dhabi Duty Free retail revenue reached AED 809.5 million in 2012, with an increase of 24% over 2011, setting a new record for the company. The retail figures reflect an increase in the Spend Per Passenger and average transaction value during 2012.
