Paris-Sorbonne Abu Dhabi welcomes more than 1000 visitors for its Open Day
Future students to get an exclusive glimpse into a typical day in the Al Reem campus
The Open Day is carefully structured to offer future students a first-hand insight into a typical university day at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, where are present more than 650 high-calibre students from over 60 countries are enrolled into its tailor-made diverse programmes catering for the needs of the region. Acting as ambassadors of the University, present students, academics and staff are leading visitors and their family members on guided class and campus tours throughout the day which is an ideal occasion for informal, informative chats that provide a better comprehension about various aspects of university life and the close-knit Sorbonne 'family'. To add an exciting dimension to this day and to emphasise the ease of learning French, there will be hourly language workshop classes.
The Bachelor degree admissions presentations commenced from 10 am and will continue every hour until 2pm while the core Master Programme Presentation will take place at 4.30 pm when potential students can meet the alumni. They will also have the opportunity to easily interact with faculty members and presently enrolled PSUAD students. Furthermore, with the assistance of a dedicated Admissions team, keen students have the convenience of immediately applying to PSUAD.
Muzna Al Zouabi, current student, added, "Attending the Open Day last year sealed my decision about joining Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. I liked the rapport with those I met, the warm atmosphere and I'm glad I took the time to attend for a brief taste of university life. On the Open Day, students have access to the university's extensive state-of-the-art facilities that not just boosts their knowledge but also promotes wellbeing and includes a library housing 90,000 printed books and 60,000 e-books, and a unique sports centre. The spacious classrooms are equipped with the latest technology including simultaneous translation. Additionally, as part of its cultural initiatives, the university organises events that expose students to a wide range of cultural projects, arts exhibitions and conferences that increases the students' participation in society and form vital business and social community ties.
