US companies interested in investment in Wassit province
WASSIT: The Chairman of Wassit's Provincial Council disclosed today that a group of US companies expressed desire to invest in the province, in the fields of oil and transport.Mahmoud Abdul Redha told Aswat al-Iraq that a meeting was held with American KPO group, where a preliminary contract was signed with them to explore oil and development of asphalt materials.
He added that the group proposed investing a military base west of Kut to transform it into a civilian airport.
