Muscat Private Hospital awarded prestigious international accreditation
Muscat Private Hospital , Muscat's premier private medical facility, managed by UME, proudly announced the official accreditation by the Joint Commission International (JCI). This places Muscat Private Hospital as the very first hospital in Oman to receive such reward, in recognition of the high quality healthcare standard that Muscat Private Hospital continuously provides for its patients.
The Joint Commission International has been working with health care organizations, ministries of health, and global organizations in over eighty countries since 1994 and is the worldwide leader dedicated to incessantly improving the safety and quality of care in the international community.
" Muscat Private Hospital has reached a very significant milestone, and I would like to express my gratitude to our doctors, management team, nursing staff and the entire auxiliary and support staff for their dedication to providing medical care that meets the highest international standards of safety and quality," says Mr. Murat Soner Kucukkaya, the Hospital Administrator. "We believe that this very important designation demonstrates the commitment of MPH and its dedicated personnel to providing world-class health care to the local community."
"The evaluation has been a two-year process where Muscat Private Hospital provided noticeable commitment to improving the safety and quality of patient care, ensuring a safe care environment, and repeatedly working to reduce risks to patients and staff," commented Dr. David Saxton, Medical Director at MPH . "Not only is JCI accreditation a significant accomplishment for our hospital, but it is also an important milestone for health care in Oman, as it marks a new era in the delivery of medical services for Omani health care institutions and their patients. The JCI accreditation is the gold standard of excellence in the health care industry and we are very proud of being the first in Oman," concluded Mr. Murat.
Muscat Private Hospital opened in 22nd November, 2000 and is Muscat's premier private medical facility. Located in the rapidly developing and scenic area of Bausher, we are a 72-bed General Hospital, with first-class out-patient and in-patient facilities for the majority of specialties, including a Diagnostic Centre with C.T. Scan and the latest "open" MRI.
