Reiterates best-in-class commitment to quality management, environment & energy systems and occupational health & safety procedures
Dubai, UAE, 13 February 2012 - MAF Dalkia, a regional specialist in Energy & Facilities Management in the Middle East has received four 'best-in-class' industry recognitions with ISO and OHSAS certifications: ISO 14001 for Environmental Management, ISO 50001 for Energy Management, OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health & Safety Management and the renewal of its ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification. Building upon its own internal resources and with a stringent auditing process, MAF Dalkia is the first Energy & Facilities Management services companies in the Middle East to receive this industry honour, and underscores its commitment in delivering excellence to customers, stakeholders and its employees.

MAF Dalkia's certification in ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 - a new standard established only mid-2011, is on-trend with the increasing importance placed by the international facilities management industry to adopt more environmentally sustainable practices, conserve energy resources and promote the use of energy-efficient technologies.

The OHSAS 18001 certification demonstrates MAF Dalkia's commitment to employee health and safety, and minimising risk or accidents in the workplace. The new OHSAS 18001 provides a framework that MAF Dalkia started to implement across the Middle East, a recent regional initiative involving all MAF Dalkia employees undergoing training, risk assessment and control, emergency preparedness and response, and performance measuring.

"MAF Dalkia's ISO and OHSAS certifications reflect our leadership position in this region, underscoring our commitment to both our external and internal stakeholders across environment and energy management, workplace safety and overall quality management," said Alex Mussallam, CEO of MAF Dalkia. "The ISO and OHSAS status enables us to set new benchmarks in the delivery of our services across the Middle East region, and creates a higher standard to which we can track, measure and continually improve our performance. We're pleased to be the first business in region to receive this recognition, and MAF Dalkia will continue to operate as a socially responsibly business that exceeds stakeholder expectations."

MAF Dalkia is a leading Energy & Facilities Management company with offices across the Middle East. With key projects across a diverse portfolio of industries including healthcare, aviation, banking, commercial, hospitality and telecommunications, MAF Dalkia is positioned for further growth with the awarding of these significant ISO and OHSAS certifications.
