Dubai Economic Department Recognizes Eastern Biotech's Achievement at DubaiSME100
Dubai, UAE, Feburary 12, 2012: Eastern Biotech & Life Sciences , a leading healthcare biotechnology and diagnostic company, providing preventive genetic testing services in Middle East, has been ranked #19 an honor list of the top Dubai SME 100. The ranking was announced by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum at a special ceremony held on the 12th February 2012 at Dubai World Trade Center. The first Dubai SME 100 ranking announcement ceremony was attended by distinguished guests and other dignitaries of Dubai Economic Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, His Excellency Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of DED, said: "I congratulate the first batch of Dubai SME 100 companies who has demonstrated the willingness & capabilities to be evaluated under the Dubai SME 100 Model. They have shown commendable performance and vision for growth & development". Dubai SME 100 is a premier ranking of Dubai's 100 top performing SMEs, launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development (Dubai SME). The Dubai SME 100 seeks to identify Dubai's top SMEs that are role models the Emirate can be proud of. More than just a ranking, the objective of Dubai SME 100 is to inspire willing and able SMEs that have the potential to be world-class enterprises - to invest in innovation and people - for sustained growth.
Out of 72,000 SMEs in Dubai, Eastern Biotech & Life Sciences (http://www.easternbiotech.com) has qualified to be among the top 20 SMEs in the 2011 Dubai SME 100 Ranking. "Eastern Biotech is delighted to receive such a prestigious award as it recognizes our sharp focus on offering innovative products on Genetic Testing and Genetic Counseling. The award has without doubt inspired us to leverage our capabilities for further expansion of this sector and growth within the region," said Dr.Faruq M Badiuddin, Chairman and CEO of Eastern Biotech & Life Sciences .
"2011 has been a highly rewarding year for us. During this year we were successful in receiving ISO accreditation for Quality and the Dubai SME recognition for Service Excellence.
