Hilton Middle East and Africa HR Forum Held in Cairo
Hilton Worldwide hosted its annual forum with over 100 HR team members from the Middle East and Africa at the Hilton Pyramids Golf Resort in Cairo, EgyptCairo, Egypt, February 12, 2012 - Hilton Worldwide recently hosted its annual Middle East and Africa HR Forum at the Hilton Pyramids Golf Resort in Cairo. The event was attended by over 100 Hilton HR team members from all over the Middle East and Africa. The focus of the Forum was about leading change in Hilton Worldwide's business practices, both internally with Hilton team members and in the communities where they work and live.

Day one of the Forum was focused on "engagement", day two on "growth" and the third on "evolution". Key speakers included MEA president Rudi Jagersbacher, Dave Osborne, Senior V.P. for Operations at Hilton Worldwide as well as Terry Jenkins and Travis Diem, Directors of Brand Culture and Education. The highlight of the three day conference organized to engage, grow and evolve the MEA HR teams was the awards ceremony recognizing the best and brightest within the field.
By holding the forum in Cairo, Egypt, where Hilton is the oldest and largest international hotel brand present, it demonstrates Hilton Middle East and Africa's commitment to the region, the country, the people and the business that we know will continue to be successful. The Hilton Pyramids Golf Resort , like other Hilton properties in Egypt, is about quality, excellence and ensuring Hilton fills the region with the light and warmth of hospitality by being the first choice of hotel guests, team members, and owners alike.
Six awards were presented during the forum, two of which were presented to team members from Hilton Egyptian properties. Mohamed Shaaban from Hilton Marsa Alam won the award for HR Marketeer, which recognizes Mohamed as a HR leader who effectively adopts the use of social media to promote hotel employee activities; participates in industry HR awards and excels at internal as well as external team member communications. Nabil Negm from the Hilton Taba & Nelson Village Resort was the recipient of the top HR Leader & Partner Award, recognizing his excellence in leadership and team support. Other awards were given for top 2011 HR Talent Manager, Learning & Development Professional, HR Change Leader, and 2011 HR Rising Star.
