Specialist inter-carrier billing and routing optimisation solutions vendor i-conX Solutions has announced that Canar Telecommunication Co. Ltd of Sudan have chosen the company for implementation of its Routing Optimisation solution.
Canar, an existing customer of the i-conX Interconnect Billing solution since 2007, chose i-conX Routing Optimisation Core along with two additional modules for managing Quality of service, and for real-time dashboard reporting on the Network. Canar now enjoys a integrated billing and routing optimisation solution, based around a single core database architecture with fully harmonised reference data management.
Chief Executive Officer of Canar, Ali Ahmed Yarouf stated: "As the Sudanese telecom market is becoming increasingly competitive, the implementation of the i-conX routing optimisation solution is considered as an important step for Canar to maintain its leading status. The i-conX solution will support the growth of Canar international traffic with enhanced quality and better management.''
The i-conX integrated solution provides high levels of performance as the user works from one single database architecture and GUI. This removes the need for manual slaving of multiple databases as all modules access the common core of reference data. With its modular approach customers can choose which additional modules they require as and when suits their business model.
Canar is a subsidiary of Etisalat Group (UAE) which has eighteen Telecom operators around the world. Client base of Canar includes a large number of prestigious companies in Sudan, Africa and the Middle East. This lists Canar as one of the leading telecommunication companies in the Region. One of Canar's major achievements since its establishment is the launch of its milestone landing station in Port Sudan. Canar's landing station has opened great opportunities for Sudan and Africa to be linked to the entire world through a vast network of submarine fiber optic cables such as Flag - Falcon, Eassy and others. The landing station is one of the largest in Africa and has contributed to the development of the telecommunication sector in the region.
