Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate Conducts a Successful Fire Evacuation Drill at the "Festival Tower" in cooperation with Dubai Civil Defence
Dubai, February 6, 2012 - In collaboration with the Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Rescue Dubai Police and Dubai Police, Al- Futtaim Group Real Estate ( AFGRE ) has conducted a fire evacuation drill at "Festival Tower", the AAA grade office tower in Dubai Festival City . The training was a part of the group efforts to show commitment towards HSE best standards, certify all tenants as fire wardens and first aiders and to boost their readiness to emergency and awareness of the rescue procedures. The tenants vacated the building and gathered at two assembly points while a group from Rescue Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defence and Dubai Police supported the evacuation process. Paramedics from the ambulance used stretchers to treat some volunteers who played the role of injured victims.
The mock evacuation drill was successful and has seen the participation of more than 1,500 people including tenants, staff and the higher management of Al- Futtaim Group and AFGRE .
