Gulf Bank in strategic tie-up with Teshkeel Media Group
KUWAIT: Gulf Bank yesterday announced that it has agreed on a strategic partnership with Teshkeel Media Group (TMG), creators of 'THE 99'. The agreement was signed by Gulf Bank 's Chief Executive Officer and Chief General Manager, Michel Accad and TMG's Founder, Dr Naif Al-Mutawa at a ceremony held at Gulf Bank 's head office. This partnership allows Gulf Bank the right to use TMG trademarks, in particular 'THE 99' characters, in the Bank's marketing and promotional activities.Commenting on the agreement, Accad said: "At Gulf Bank , we are committed to supporting strong cultural and ethical values within the community, especially amongst young people, and I know we share these objectives with TMG and its Kuwaiti founder, Dr Al-Mutawa. 'THE 99' has grown into an international phenomenon, using a new generation of teenage superheroes from around the world to spread globally acknowledged values; so it is only natural for Gulf Bank to step forward and show its support for this initiative. The premier of TMG's new movie, 'THE 99: Unbound', will take place tomorrow, and will be put on general release in Kuwait's movie theaters from 23 February which provides an ideal platform to announce our partnership with TMG and champion the presence of 'THE 99' in Kuwait."
Dr Naif Al-Mutawa said: "We are very pleased to have signed this agreement with Gulf Bank , one of Kuwait's leading financial institutions. The bank's record of supporting the wellbeing and development of young people in Kuwait is in line with the spirit of 'THE 99' and TMG's social objectives, so it is beneficial that both organizations are able to work in tandem to further these vital mutual objectives. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Gulf Bank in the future."
