It stressed that the step comes within the framework of the DMI and its keenness to expand its multimedia services through interaction with various institutions and departments of the UAE.
This reinforces DMI 's position as one of the most prominent media organisations and leading creative services provider in the Middle East, and the largest media organisation in the UAE.
He stressed that, " DMI is proud of being proactive to keep abreast of all new trends in the media industry and always provide its audience with information services at home and abroad."
He confirmed that the "the new service provided by DMI is the best proof of the fact that DMI seeks to provide better ways to ensure provision of information and news quickly without prejudice and with full precision -- these are two key elements that we are very careful about in our media message," he said.
Al Shaikh added that "there is no doubt that the rapid technological development and the attendant opportunities and challenges, puts on the shoulders of the DMI a great responsibility towards the development of our work to achieve the greatest possible benefit from this technological means and channels of communication."
He asserted that DMI is benefiting from this technical progress by harnessing it in the launch of services to keep pace with the spirit of the times and strengthen our ability to carry out our activities fully in order to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction for the people.
Al Shaikh added that the launch of the new service on board the flights of Flydubai reflect the DMI strategy in the area of digital media to open new prospects for creativity which supports its system manifold alongside the traditional television channels or radio or press.
Al Shaikh stressed the diversity of media from audio-visual, print and electronic service can be expanded continuously, leading to higher degrees of excellence and credibility, both in form and content.
Dhaen Shaheen, Executive Director for the Press at DMI , said Al Bayan newspaper is one of the major newspapers in the Arab World, which enjoys credibility and transparency in the monitoring of events and news.
He said "such credibility comes through a large network of reporters and editors who are seeking the truth and credibility in their news reports and daily life.
Shaheen added "Al Bayan newspaper exclusively, since its inception in 1980, has its own style and coverage and interest in local affairs and the Arab world.
He said Al Bayan newspaper was able to establish a good and widespread reputation, especially with the entry to the era of print media, the Internet and technology.
He added "such adoption of technology has given Al Bayan newspaper a select group of readers throughout the Arab word and Arabs in all parts of the world.
"On the other side, the electronic newspaper Emirates 24|7 will be benefited from electronic infrastructure of the DMI with its audio-visual and print products which provide developed content in the digital world that meet the needs of the reader in the UAE, the Gulf region and the Arab world. This will establish a new electronic press, more comprehensive and professional.
"The electronic newspaper reflects the versatility in the information product offering of the DMI that has TV channels and radio and print media. This achieves DMI 's strategy of active presence in the field of growing digital media through a very professional team in the provision of quick information and analysis, that takes advantage of enormous technological developments in the areas of audio-visual media," added Shaheen.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai , said the new service is coming through our perennial search for new ways to enhance the travel experience and offer more entertainment options on board our flights.
"Therefore we launch the new service in cooperation with DMI and across the entertainment system of Flydubai ."
He added that this new service will enable passengers to surf titles and news from the site of Al Bayan daily Arabic newspaper and Emirates 24|7 in English, as an addition to the quality of the package of Flydubai 's various services, which include sports news, economic, as well as local and international news.
"While the system will update the content automatically when landing in Dubai, so as to enable travelers to see the latest developments around the clock and free of charge to all flights" said al Ghaith.
