HE Dr Rashid Bin Fahad to inaugurate Paper and Plastics Recycling Conference Middle East
Centre for Waste Management Abu Dhabi, Dubai Municipality 's Waste Management Division, Bee'ah, Sharjah, Ajman's AIMS Group and recycling companies to share knowledge at international conferenceDubai, 05 February 2012 - The region's first Paper and Plastics Recycling Conference will be officially opened by HE Dr. Rashid Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment, United Arab Emirates, who will also deliver the keynote address. He will be accompanied by HE Hamad Al-Ameri, General Manager, The Centre of Waste Management Abu Dhabi and senior executives from Dubai Municipality .
The Paper and Plastics Recycling Conference Middle East is being held at JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, from 27-28 February 2012 and is hosted by US-based Recycling Today Media Group and Dubai-based Media Fusion, the publisher of Waste and Recycling Middle East magazine. The event will combine market-driven sessions examining commodity markets for recovered paper and plastics in a global context, insights from local policy makers on regional waste and recycling management development and case studies of how the industry is being developed from local recyclers. This event is an extension of Recycling Today Media Group's successful Paper Recycling Conference and Trade Show in the US and the Paper Recycling Conference in Europe.
Several industry experts have been lined up as speakers for the conference from various municipalities in the UAE, as well as leading paper mills and plastic companies across the Middle East and Europe. In the opening keynote on February 27, the office of the Waste Management Director of Dubai will provide a comprehensive look at the recycling programs developed to serve the community. The opening keynote on February 28 will be a special presentation from the Centre of Waste Management Abu Dhabi, examining the development of recycling policies and practices in that municipality.
Key moderators for various sessions of the conference include senior experts such as James R. Keefe, Group Publisher, Recycling Today Media Group; Brian Taylor, Editorial Director, Recycling Today Media Group; Peter Engel, Moore & Associates; and Asfia Khan, Editor, Waste and Recycling Middle East.
Dr. Kayyum Ali Bohra, CEO, Media Fusion says, "This international conference on paper and plastics recycling will be held in the Middle East for the first time.
