GCC Preventive Dentistry Conference Discusses Major Oral Health Challenges in the Region
AEEDC Dubai Hosts the Third AEEDC Unilever Student Completion


Dubai - United Arab Emirates, February 1st 2012: AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition commenced for the second day at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with a great number of dentists, dental students, dental specialists and industry leaders who came form all parts of the world to benefit from this outstanding oral and dental gathering.

Attendees praised AEEDC Dubai and expressed their appreciation towards Dubai for organizing such a prestigious event that has become one of the world's top international scientific meetings. The number of participants, exhibitors and trade visitors are increasing on a yearly basis as AEEDC Dubai presents the latest and most updated knowledge in field of dentistry.

Major activities that took place during the second day are the Arab Asian African American Scientific Dental Alliance Meeting and the GCC Round table Discussion that was presided by Prof. Abdullah Al Shammery, Professor and Consultant of Restorative Dentistry and the president of the Arab Academy for continuing dental education.

On the other hand, AEEDC Conference discussed during the second day: the Chairside and Labside Cad/Cam Systems- Possibilities and Limitations, Building a Dental Practice Business Plan, Advanced Gingival Aesthetic, Intraoral Imaging: A Comparison of Systems in the Identification of Root Fractures, What's New in Endo Instruments?

And for the third consecutive year, AEEDC Dubai is organizing the AEEDC Unilever Student Competition which intends to bring out the best in the next generation by involving students in educational intellectual competitions and offering them incentives for self improvement.

Dr. Nasser Malik, the Chairman o AEEDC Conference said: "AEEDC Unilever Competition provides a unique opportunity to all dental students who are in their last academic year to actively interact with their counterparts from different dental colleges and universities through a face to face competition."

AEEDC Unilever Student Competition is open to all public and private dental colleges, five students are selected to represent each university and for this year five dental colleges had registered in the competition including; King Saud University, College of Dentistry, Kuwait University, Oman Dental College, Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy, Saratov State Medical University n.a.V.I. Razumovsky and Sharjah University, College of Dentistry.

Dr. Malik also said: AEEDC Dubai is always keen to support universities and dental colleges in the region while presenting the latest researches and inventions in this field in order to support the students and practitioners and enhance their work. The increasing number of students and participants in the competitions every year reflects the role that AEEDC has in the medical field."
