DM reconstitutes committee to supervise rainwater removal
Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality has passed recently an administrative resolution on reconstituting committee for supervising the removal and discharge project of rainwater logs in the Emirate of Dubai.Hassan Mohamed Makki, Director of Sewage Network Department is learnt to have been appointed as chairman of committee.
"New Committee has been tasked with developing an effective and integrated contingency plan to remove and discharge water clusters created by rainfalls on roads, squares and neighbourhoods in Dubai" said Eng. Lootah in a press release.
"They will ensure service facilities for better functioning of the project and develop an appropriate mechanism to implement the contingency plan scientifically and most effectively" added Lootah.
It is learnt that the committee will coordinate with other concerned departments and sections to fix the tasks in the implementation of new plan both in terms of technical and professional support and of providing equipments and machinery required. Identifying reasons and factors leading to water logs and assigning studies on solutions to concerned bodies also fall under the task of newly made committee.
According to the sources related to DM , Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Awadi, Head of Agriculture Section with Public Parks and Horticulture Department, AbdulSalam AbdulRahim Al Hammadi, Head of Vehicle Equipments and Maintenance Section, Khaled Mohsen Amiri, Head of Operations and Cleaning Services, both with theTransportation Department, Khaled Salem Suletin ,Head of Environmental Emergency Office, with Environment Department and Faisal Ahmed Al Hammadi, Head of Administrative and Technical Support with Sewage Network Department, are the members of committee.
