Arab media lab project and Canon support workshop for budding filmmakers in Morocco
Arab Media lab project promoting the Moroccan digital cinema as a new creative tool
The lab organizes a series of DSLR workshops to show the modern techniques and powerful functionalities of Canon 5D and 7D cameras to film students and enthusiasts...
Mai Youssef, Corporate Communications Manager, Canon Middle East, said: "The filmmaking workshop provided an excellent opportunity for young talents to learn from an accomplished filmmaker, while being acquainted with the exciting array of functionalities made possible through Canon's latest range of digital filmmaking devices. Workshop participants were certainly greatly impressed with the performance of the Canon 5D and 7D cameras as well as the powerful features that they bring to the film industry. Moreover, the young filmmakers appreciated how Canon's digital filmmaking technologies allow them to produce their own films even with a limited budget and tight schedule. Our support to the workshop is part of Canon's corporate social responsibility program and in line with our corporate philosophy of Kyosei, which drives us to live and work together for the common good."
As the Arab Media lab directors explain: "The Main goal we are trying to fulfil with this activity is to encourage and stimulate the visual experimentation in the country which will lead to a huge amount of produced works, and the birth of new filmmakers, new talents and a new Moroccan Cinema. And only Digital tools will allow all this to happen."
