While business travellers are back, they are still looking for added value
Dubai - While business travel has seen a steady recovery since companies dramatically cut travel budgets after the global recession, there is still a long way to go until a return to the glory days. Businesses are still keeping a tight grasp on the purse strings and we are increasingly seeing corporate clients looking for added value whenever they travel.Dusit Thani Dubai has developed a more strategic approach for the corporate market for 2012 to ensure that as a hotel the services they offer are in line with corporate client's needs.
"Over the past few years we have maintained a strong market share in the corporate sector and that is down primarily to our hotel's location. Dusit Thani Dubai offers both business and leisure pursuits within short reach of the hotel's doors, Leon Salinel, Director of Sales and Marketing noted.
"Convenience is something that constantly surfaces when we talk to our clients, and within the hotel not only is accessibility to transportation available, we also provide all our guests complimentary WiFi facilities and have a number of restaurants, including Benjarong, Royal Thai Cuisine, which offer promotional business lunches," he added.
Sebastian joins the hotel with more than five years experience in the hospitality industry. He began his career within an international hotel group in Germany, where he established Arabic relations within their Munich based hotel taking on the position as Arabian Guest Relations Manager. Sebastian relocated to the UAE gaining further experience in front of house and harnessing product knowledge within the GCC market. More recently he was appointed Duty Manager at one of Dubai Creek's hotels where the majority of his responsibility, besides the operations, was capturing further business for the hotel by spearheading the up selling program.
"Sebastian forms a vital position within the team and with his experience of the GCC market, we aim to position ourselves more firmly within the corporate market and gain a greater percentage of the market share," Mr Salinel concluded.
