BAETC 'First in Bahrain' to offer Aeronautical Engineering "Edexcel HND" qualification
19th January 2012, Manama, BAHRAIN: BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre (BAETC) announced at the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) that they have been certified as an "Edexcel HND provider" for their aeronautical engineering programs; a first in Bahrain and only the second in the Middle East. The world's leading learning company, BAETC will launch the Edexcel HND program to students and graduates in February, next month.
"BAETC is a pioneer in its sector, bringing unique programs to Bahrain, and elevating industry standards across the region" Khalid Al Bastaki, BAETC Training Manager said, "BAETC is the first in Bahrain to be certified for the Edexcel HND program for Aeronautical engineering and offers our students an internationally recognized degree" he added.
Bahrain Airport Services ( BAS ) has invested in a state-of-the-art, BD 1 million training facility. Salman Al Mahmeed, BAS DCEO commented "BAETC was created in order to resolve the issue of the shortage of aircraft engineers throughout the Gulf. We aim to become 'the' premier centre of excellence for aircraft engineering in the GCC and within the Middle East"
And he added: "Edexcel's academic and vocational qualifications allow students to progress to university and Higher Education Institutions in many countries and our partnership with BAETC will enhance the level of graduates across the region".
The program will be open to the current BAETC Students who will simultaneously receive the EASA 147 training and the Edexcel HND, and to the previous graduates who are also eligible to do a condensed program to receive the Edexcel HND.
BAETC has had a substantial effect on the services that are offered by Bahrain Airport Services , who for 30 years have been committed to providing "Total Quality Ground Support", as well as being dedicated to the safety and well being of airline passengers. More importantly however, it speaks highly of the Kingdom of Bahrain as they compete with the rest of the world, in developing further through a means of higher education and training.
