Lootah receives Meydan Chief
Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality has received Saeed Bin Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Meydan racecourse project, at former's office in Deira recently. The friendly visit comes as an appreciation for the Civic Body for its efforts to support the project and its active role in leading it to grand success.
"Municipality has welcomed and always provided continuous support for the project, of which DM perceive as one of the national pride" said Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah while he received Saeed Al Tayer.
"Indeed, it has become one of Dubai's land marks in the field of sports and tourism .Meydan racecourse took the country to highest peaks on international level". Added Lootah.
The Meydan race course project was completed and open in January 2010.The grandstand with the race track can accommodate 60,000 spectators at a time. Spanning on 1.5 km length it has been recognized as world's largest grandstands.
