Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Foundation sign MOU for Strategic Cooperation
Doha, Qatar · 8 January 2012 -- Qatar Petroleum ( QP ) and Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Strategic Cooperation related to the implementation of training programs and professional development programs for QP staff.
The MOU was formally signed at QP headquarters by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of QP , and Dr. Mohammad Fathy Saoud, President of QF.
"This agreement is consistent with Qatar Petroleum 's commitment to continuously promote the full development of our employees, and we are highly pleased to work with Qatar Foundation in this regard bearing in mind its valuable mission of unlocking human potential. We are confident that this strategic partnership would ultimately bear fruits not just for QP but for the State of Qatar in general," said H.E. Dr. Al-Sada.
"We are committed to reach the industry and business community in Qatar and offer to build their capacity in professional and technology development. Due to the expertise and added resources of our partners, we became the preferred destination for national and international organizations who are seeking to offer training and professional development in their endeavour to offer quality training and professional development for their staff," Dr. Saoud added.
The new QP -QF partnership will offer new and varied opportunities for QP staff to advance their skills, consolidating human capacity building by tapping through international standards of continued education and professional development programs. Cooperation between QP and QF will support the contribution of both organizations towards achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030. Ends
