Prince Alwaleed & Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Qatari PM meet privately
HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman Kingdom Holding Company ( KHC ), makes a visit to Qatar on Sunday December 4, 2011 during the visit Prince Alwaleed met with HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Qatar's Foreign Affairs. The Prince was accompanied by a delegation that included Mr. Sarmad Zok, Chairman and CEO of Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI), Mr. Fahad Alofy, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Mr. Hicham Fleihan, Manager Travel and External Affairs Department.Upon arrival to Doha international airport, Prince Alwaleed was received by HE Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani and HE Mr. Ahmad Alqahtani, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ambassador to Qatar. During the visit, Prince Alwaleed attended the opening ceremony of the Second Annual "Federation of Businessmen and the Union of Young Entrepreneurs" conference which was held at Sheraton Doha. The event was attended by HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim, HE Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Minister for Foreign Trade (UAE), HE Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Qassim Althani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce, government officials, dignitaries and the media.
Furthermore, HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani held a private luncheon in honor of HRH Prince Alwaleed. Moreover the two discussed the long standing friendship between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and Prince Alwaleed's investments with Qatar through KHC .
In June 2010, HRH met with Mr. Ahmad Al-Sayed, CEO of Qatar Holding with an accompanying delegation. During the meeting the two discussed His Highness's solid regional presence in the various sectors, including real estate, hotels and media, locally, regionally and internationally. Moreover, the meeting touched upon local, regional and international economic and investment issues, and future projects. After the meeting the Prince hosted a dinner in honor of his guest and the accompanying delegation at Kingdom Resort.
Moreover, His Highness's investments in hotels through Kingdom Holding include the management of the Four Seasons Doha, Movenpick Doha and Movenpick Doha Tower and Suites, and in the financial sector through Citigroup. Furthermore, Raffles manages the Le Royal Monceau in Paris.
In April 2010, HRH attended the "FGCCC Outlook, Leading the Next 30 Years" Gala Dinner with HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, HE President Michel Sleiman of Lebanon and HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on Tuesday April 6th 2010 in Doha, Qatar. The event was held under the patronage of the Emir of Qatar.
In 2009, Prince Alwaleed and HH Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel, Vice Chairwoman of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation that is chaired by Prince Alwaleed attended the 3rd Charity Gala Dinner "Reach out to Asia" (ROTA) with HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar and HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al Missned.
In 2005, Prince Alwaleed made a contribution through Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation during the charity dinner ceremony held in Doha to aid afflicted areas in Asia as part of the Helping Hands Initiative for Asia.
