Hala Al Gergawi Takes the Helm as managing editor at anaZahra.com
Abu Dhabi, December 6th, 2011: Abu Dhabi Media announced today the appointment of Hala Al Gergawi as the new managing editor of anaZahra.com. In this role she will oversee all content and development of the women's portal. anaZahra.com was launched in July 2010 as an addition to Abu Dhabi Media 's premium digital content offering, designed to be the online home for modern Arab women. The portal features popular editors, contributors, bloggers and some of the most influential personalities from the Arab world and abroad. Malcolm Wall, CEO of Abu Dhabi Media , stated: "We are very excited to have Hala Al Gergawi on board to lead anaZahra.com as we continue to focus on the strength of our digital offerings. Hala has been a member of the Emirates Publishers Association since January 2010, chaired by Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi. In January 2009, she was elected as a board member of the Emirates Business Women Council and in June 2008, she was appointed by the Young Arab Leaders as the UAE Country Office Manager. She is also the founder of two businesses, Excelencia Publishing and Events, which manages both local and international events and creates commercial, legal and investment publications, and Queen Bee Services FZCO, which provides home services to busy women.
