Qatargas Supports Qatar Petroleum at the 20th WPC
Doha - Qatar, 04 December 2011 - Qatargas , the world's largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) producer, is attending and exhibiting on the State of Qatar stand (Hall 6 Stand 6114) at the 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC), which is held from 4-8 December 2011 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, focusing on the theme 'Energy Solutions for All: Promoting Cooperation, Innovation and Investment.'In recognition in the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar in bringing the 20th WPC, for the first time, to the Middle East and under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry for the State of Qatar and Chairman of the Board Qatargas Board of Directors, this 20th WPC provides a unique opportunity for Qatargas .
Commenting on the company's participation in the congress, the Qatargas CEO said:
Qatargas will present two papers in the congress. The Qatargas CEO will attend a ministerial session on Wednesday 7th December and will present a paper on "Supporting the objective of creation of a stable source of income for the State of Qatar" in which he will talk about the success story of Qatargas , how it has grown into an operating company model - now managing the offshore operations, four joint ventures, one of them being the world's first fully integrated value chain, four world class mega trains and Qatar's first condensate refinery.
At the State of Qatar's exhibition stand, Qatargas will showcase its LNG facilities and a touch screen will provide the visitors with information on various aspects of the company's business. A recruitment team from the Human Resources Department will also be present to interview potential job-seekers from industry professionals.
As a national sponsor of the 20th WPC, Qatargas is also supporting the Arabian Night programme which is held at Katara Valley of Cultures on Tuesday, 6th December from 7 p.m. onwards.
