Falak Holding to unveil 15th edition of the 'Sign & Graphics Imaging' show in Jan 2012
Over 296 exhibitors from 23 countries participated in the 2011 edition of the company's 'Sign and Graphics Imaging' show
Dubai, UAE, November 30th, 2011: Falak Holding , one of UAE's multi-faceted business conglomerates, stated that its subsidiary - International Expo Consults (IEC) has put the UAE on the global stage with regard to signage, graphics and printing industries in the last 15 years. The company has announced that it will unveil the 15th edition of the Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East' (SGI) show in early 2012. The show will be held from January 31st - February 2nd at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
SGI is one of the most anticipated events of the year in the region for exhibitors and visitors in the signage, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries. Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East (SGI) is an established 14 year old business forum where exhibitors and visitors can interact with sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants among others. This forum will also include seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts.
IEC was established on 15th of April, 1994. On reaching this milestone year, Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz; Chairman of IEC stated that, "When we started our journey 17 years ago we had representation from few countries but today we are proud to say that over 296 exhibitors from 23 countries had participated in the 2011 edition and the numbers are set to grow further in our 15th edition next year. Our show has generated sales amounting to billions of dollars for exhibitors serving the digital printing, signage and outdoor advertising industries in the last decade and a half. We could achieve all this because we also had a great team to put the show together."
Whilst celebrating the occasion with the team Mr.Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC stated that, "It's a special year for us and we will introduce new components which will be unveiled closer to the show. We had a strong turnout from across the GCC as well as East Africa, the Sub Continent, Europe, Asia among other geographies. The quality of visitors who attended the last edition of SGI Middle East was amongst the best we have ever seen and we expect the trend to continue into 2012," "At first, we started by organising sports exhibitions from there we grew to organise about seven shows. We had done shows in Africa for a few years in a row. Furthermore, in association with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, we also did a show in Mumbai, India called, 'UAE in India', which showcased all the products and services available in UAE. IEC gradually gained importance as a brand and we were recognised world over," said Mr.Sharif. According to a recent study by UK based PIRA International (Printing Industry Research Association) - globally the big winner in the industry has been digital printing, which has grown significantly from just 2% in 2000 to over 12% in 2009 and is expected to reach 23% by 2015. In 2010 digital print markets were valued at $85.2 billion globally; the equivalent of over 225 billion A4 prints.
