Barwa Gold Sponsor of ASPIRE4SPORT

Doha, November 14, 2011 - Barwa Real Estate , one of Qatar's global leading investment and real estate companies, announced its sponsorship of the 2nd staging of the ASPIRE4SPORT event. The international Sports Congress and Exhibition is being held from 12 to 15 November 2011 and has already attracted wide international attention.

Barwa's gold sponsorship of this major sports event demonstrates the company's support for Qatar's position as a landmark international sports platform. This follows Qatar's win of the 2022 FIFA World Cup bid, and the country's hopes to host the 2020 Winter Olympics Games, and the 2017 World Athletics Championships.

The inauguration ceremony of the ASPIRE4SPORT Congress and Exhibition was attended by a number of senior Barwa representatives. The Barwa pavilion at the ASPIRE4SPORT Exhibition is managed by Waseef, a company which serves as a vital link between Barwa Real Estate Company , service providers and customers to ensure better services and more visitors. Organized by Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence, the ASPIRE4SPORT Congress and Exhibition brings together top national, regional, and global sports celebrities. Participants for this year's event include the Qatar Olympic Committee, FC Barcelona Sporting Club, 2014 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee in Brazil, and Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, in addition to top sports celebrities, including, renowned Italian Coach Carlo Ancelotti, Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi, and Serbian Coach, Bora Milutinovic. On the margins of the event, a high-profile international friendly football match is also expected to take place between Brazil and Egypt.
