Avnet hosted an evening to conclude the GITEX week with its key partners, associates and customers at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa , Dubai
Dubai, UAE - 23rd October 2011 - Avnet Technology Solutions, an IT solutions distribution leader and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), recently invited several of its key channel partners, vendor partners and associates from across the Middle East region for a relaxed evening after Gitex Technology Week.
The evening was held at the prestigious Armani Hotel, located in world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa and saw a gathering of over 100 partners, vendors and customers. All the guests were warmly welcomed by Henry Godwin, Regional Director for Middle East and Africa of Avnet Technology Solutions.
"Avnet was privileged to have the company of its key partners, associates and customers, who have been instrumental in the growth of Avnet in the Middle East & Africa region", Godwin said.
As part of the growing partnership with their key vendors, Avnet Technology Solutions' Oracle team participated at Gitex this year in association with Oracle, and found it to be a great platform to network with the industry.
Avnet in the region has grown by leaps and bounds in a short span of time, and has emerged as a force in the Datacenter in the Middle East and Africa region. The company has expanded its geographical reach and product portfolio since Gitex 2010, and has also continued to invest in resources to add more value to its partners in the region.
