Pragma announces the launch of Cirque du Soir, Dubai, a new nightlife entertainment concept

Dubai, UAE, 19 October 2011: PRAGMA GROUP, the company behind Cavalli Club, Restaurant & Lounge and The400 Nightclub, is forging ahead with its regional and international expansion, highlighting its commitment, strength and expertise in the lifestyle industry.

The group has announced the upcoming November launch of Cirque du Soir Dubai, a unique nightlife entertainment concept for which it has acquired international franchising rights. Originally launched in London, Cirque du Soir Dubai will be the first of several international locations for the brand, as the group has entered a multi-million dollar agreement to open five additional outlets over the coming three years.

Pragma Group's international expansion will now be driven by Cirque du Soir, the Cavalli Club and Cavalli Café brand. Following the successful launch of Cavalli Club, Restaurant & Lounge in 2009, the group acquired international franchising rights for the global luxury brand and is currently working on opening new outlets in Moscow, Istanbul, Mumbai and Beirut.

The group expects similar successes across Cirque du Soir. Launching in Dubai on 15 November at the Fairmont Hotel, Cirque du Soir will bring a fresh take on nightlife as its circus atmosphere and spectacular theatrics make it stand out from the crowd. Guests will be wowed by live performances on several stages from Cirque du Soir's mind-boggling cast of performers including stilt walkers, contortionists, tattooed dancers, jugglers, drummers, freak shows, burlesque dancers, sword swallowers, magicians and fire eaters.

Cirque du Soir opened in London at the end of 2009 under the expert guidance of Ryan Bish and has been attracting celebrities, socialites and those in the know through its secret entrance ever since. Winning the Best Night award two years in a row at the London Club Awards, Cirque du Soir quickly became an infamous hangout spot for guests such as Usher, Lady Gaga, Alexandra Burke, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Pixie Lott, Scarlett Johansson, Leonardo Di Caprio and Princess Eugene.

Pragma group have hired prestigious designer Stephane Dupoux to weave his magic in the new Dubai venue. Best known for the creation of hip restaurants and bars, Dupoux has designed for venues such as Buddha Bar in New York, Cocoon in London and Pearl, Opium and Nikki Beach in Miami. Cirque du Soir is expected to draw a similar crowd of the world's international élite and will also be open to them for private hire.


Located in The Fairmont Hotel, Cirque du Soir Dubai launches in November 2011 with lifestyle expert Pragma Group. Guests are thrilled by world-class circus performances from contortionists to snake charmers, stilt walkers to burlesque dancers, magicians and jugglers - to name but a few. These spectacular theatrics are combined with a skilled team of mixologists, performers and fancy dress all contained in a seductive burlesque atmosphere designed by Stephane Dupoux.

Originally launched in London at the end of 2009, the award winning and infamous Cirque du Soir quickly became home to A-List celebrities, including of Usher, Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Pixie Lott, Scarlett Johansson Leonardo Di Caprio and Princess Eugene.

Cirque du Soir Dubai is the first location to open outside of the UK. With international franchising rights acquired by Pragma, five new venues are set to open over the coming years, with Beirut, Istanbul and Miami earmarked for the upcoming locations.
