Only solution to Palestine issue is to give back lands: Ahmadinejad
TEHRAN - The only way to resolve the Palestine crisis is to give back the occupied lands to Palestinians and that occupiers return to the countries that they first came from, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suggested on Sunday.
"The solution to this issue, according to what the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, is that Palestinians return to their homes and occupiers return to their own lands," Ahmadinejad told the closing ceremony of the international conference on the Palestinian Intifada on Sunday.
"If we recognize the right of (Palestinian) sovereignty (over the entire homeland) the issue of two state or multi-state is revoked." He said the Palestine crisis is not an Arab or Muslim issue, rather it is a human crisis.
He went on to say that in the West God comes under question but nobody can dare even level the smallest criticism at the Zionist regime since doing so is equal to being threatened to death or imprisonment.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad said the major goal of waging crusade wars was to dominate Palestine which meant domination over the entire Middle East.
And dominating the Middle East region would translate into gaining the upper hand over the world, the president commented.
He added over the past 60 years, Europe and the U.S. have been standing against any regional nation which has been seeking to make progress because progress put Israel's security in danger, he opined.
Also in the past 100 years, all dictators were supported by the West, conversely, all "justice-seeking countries" faced hostility from the West particularly the U.S., he added.
He insisted that "Zionist regime has reached its dead end... and the existence of the Zionist regime is harmful to the entire world."
