Blue Ocean Academy gets fabulous response from TOC Middle East Conference & Exhibition
Following participation at the recently-concluded TOC Middle East Conference and Exhibition at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai-based training and consultancy company Blue Ocean has confirmed significant demand for quality development programmes in the materials handling and logistics sector to meet the demand for trained staff at all levels.
According to CEO Jamsheed Hamza, the event enabled Blue Ocean to network not only with regional companies in the terminal operations industry, but also international shippers and ports: "As the only training solution provider at TOC, we were delighted at the response over the three days," he said.
"Transport, logistics and the maritime trades are high growth industries worldwide, whatever the state of the global economy, and there is a keen desire to invest in human resources to complement investment in ships, ports and terminal operations."
"The conference focused on challenges and opportunities shaping the industry worldwide, as well as supply chain planning and operations in the region," added Mr Hamza. "While companies are aware of the need to expand and develop to compete on a global stage, one key element of this will be professional staffing, and here Blue Ocean fills the gap to cover training needs across all levels."
