DQG & Etisal's Press Meet On Training Course For 2011 FNC Polls
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Quality Group ( DQG ), the non-profit organization headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, held yesterday (Sunday, September 4), in collaboration with Etisal PR & Event Management, a press conference that announced the details of a training course regarding planning for electoral campaigns. The course, entitled "How to Run a Successful Electoral Campaign", is scheduled to be held on Sunday and Monday 4-5 September, 2011 in Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Garhoud, Dubai.
The press conference was attended by course lecturer Professor Habib Rammal, Head of Public Relations and Advertising Department, Faculty of Media, Lebanese University, Mrs. Samia Al Yousuf , Managing Director, DQG and Mrs. Nada Jaber, Managing Director, Etisal, in addition to a galaxy of candidates who wished to attend the training course.
"How to Run a Successful Electoral Campaign" coincides with the UAE 2011 Federal National Council (FNC) elections, which takes place during the period 5-21 September, 2011. It is based on the theme "You only need skilful organization, professional methodology and good management for your electoral campaign and direct contact with voters."
On the second day of the course that is occurring today (Monday, September 5), the lecturer will touch on other subjects, including: preparation of electoral media campaign (campaign planning), electoral media campaign strategies and tactics with the tools used in the electoral media campaign which include: media, print, audio-visual, electronic tools, candidate media appearances and how to face possible crises arising on polling and counting days.
Mrs. Samia Al Yousuf of DQG emphasised that the focused training course that aimed at the candidates of the Federal Council, is in support of modern global trends in achieving quality and excellence, by simplifying procedures for accessing and reaching nearer the stated objectives, which the training course sought to provide for candidates who would compete for the FNC seats.
Mrs. Nada Jaber of Etisal explained that the idea of tailoring a training course at this level was already a precedent and an achievement to be added to the sum total of the non-stop achievements of the UAE. She affirmed Etisal's commitment, as organizer, to provide best practices, share experiences and present facts that would enhance the presence of the candidates amongst the public and save them time, effort and money. She noted that the last ten days were usually crucial in voter decision; therefore, there should a focus on direct communication and skilful public relations.
