Tunisia takes part in extraordinary meeting of Arab League's Council
TUNIS - The extraordinary meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States , held recently in Cairo with Tunisia's participation, allowed to look at the issues of acknowledging the National Transition Council (NTC) as the sole legitimate representative of the Libyan people and Libya's return into the Arab League , under the leadership of the NTC.Additionally, Syria's explosive situation mobilised an important share of the attendees' debates in which interim Foreign Minister Mohamed Mouldi Kefi took part.
Two communiqués were made public at the closing of the Council's works: the first one was on the events in Libya, and the second on developments in Syria.
Mr. Mohamed Mouldi Kefi also had meetings with his Arab counterparts during which the two items on the agenda of the gathering were discussed, and means to consolidate bilateral relations with the brotherly countries were looked at, especially in light of the January 14, 2011 Revolution.
