NASDAQ Dubai appoints Craig Hewett as Head of Business Development
Dubai, July 25, 2011 - NASDAQ Dubai has appointed Craig Hewett, an experienced exchange product development and sales specialist, as Head of Business Development.Mr. Hewett brings international expertise in trading a variety of asset classes, with a particular focus on derivatives. He has joined from the Bahrain Financial Exchange ( BFX ), where he was Chief Business Officer from 2008. Earlier he worked for nine years for the London Metal Exchange (LME), where he launched new futures contracts as Deputy Commercial Director.
Jeff Singer, chief executive of NASDAQ Dubai , said: "Craig will promote growth and innovation across all areas of our business, including spearheading product development and bringing on new Members. His understanding of international exchanges, combined with his experience in the Middle East, will further strengthen NASDAQ Dubai 's expansion as a capital markets centre of excellence."
Mr. Hewett, who has joined as a Senior Vice President, will also oversee the exchange's market data and capital markets training initiatives.
