In its support to the midday work ban, Sharjah Islamic Bank launches awareness campaign aims to educate and guide the labors in the workplace sites
Sharjah - 23 July 2011 - In cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Ali Moosa and Sons Contracting company and Al Qasimi Hospital, Sharjah Islamic Bank on Saturday organized awareness campaign on midday work among labors in the site where a new building of the hospital is being constructed.
This came during a social initiative launched by the Bank to support the campaign of the Ministry of Labor to ban midday work during summer in uncovered sites from 12.30 till 3 o'clock.
The campaign, organized by the employees club of
Sharjah Islamic Bank
was launched by visiting workers at the site located behind Al Qasimi Hospital where words of thanks and appreciation to the workers' role in the society were delivered. During the visit, workers were addressed on the importance of abiding by Theban law of Ministry of Labor which cares for the workers and their full rights.
Meanwhile, volunteers from the employees club of the bank distributed water, soft drinks and snacks as well as gifts to the workers during the field visit.
The participation of

in this campaign, called the "protection" aims to activate the voluntary role of the bank in serving the community, dissemination of awareness, and urging the club staff to take responsibility on the bank campaign to set up a team of volunteers from the staff for this purpose..
on this occasion, Hassan Al Balgouni, Director of public relations and community service in the bank said that this participation comes as part of a systematic social responsibility approved by the executive management of the bank which is an integral part of the community.
Al Baglouni said that our participation in the campaign also aims to value the efforts of those involved in the campaign, including the Ministry of Labour representatives , associates and volunteers. It a so comes as appreciation gesture for their humanitarian role in supporting an important group in our society that is equal in terms of achievement the other classes of society, he said
On his part, Jassim Al Awadi, staff club president at the Sharjah Islamic bank said that "protection" campaign is an initiative proposed by a member of the club and approved as an integrated project which started yesterday from a worksite at Al Qasimi Hospital and will be followed by field visits to other similar sites according to a schedule in coordination with volunteers from the bank staff.
Al-Awadi also said the bank's club is a social association operates according to a voluntary mechanism to organize various events including social, health and sports activities in addition to the involvement of staff in programs and community activities which serve the society.
Al-Awadi expressed thanks to the administration of the Bank for their support and continuous encouragement to the club, and commended the club members, volunteers and and all those who supported the club.
