Oman's largest shopping fair to begin on July 24, 2011

Muscat - Autumn Trade Fair (ATF), the country's largest shopping fair comes back this year with lots of thrilling offers for all family members. The ten-day shopping fiesta, ATF, will be held from July 24 to August 2, 2011 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.

ATF 2011 is already receiving confirmations from exhibitors from various countries including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, China, Kenya and South Africa.

This much-awaited extravaganza will attract thousands of shoppers who will have an opportunity to discover new trends and witness exciting product launches ranging from specialty foods to textiles, and furnishings to electrical goods.

"We are expecting the number of exhibitors in ATF 2011 to beat the records of the previous years since there have been a number of SMEs emerging in the Omani market lately. The main aim of ATF is to provide SMEs with better and greater opportunities to showcase and promote their products," said Hassan Mohammed Hussain, Sr. Manager - Festivals of Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE), organiser of the event.

Hassan added that the event will offer an opportunity for people to shop for the Holy Month of Ramadan as well as to prepare for Eid Al-Fitr, all under one roof. "This is simply the right time to organise a shopping fair for people to get their needs for the Holy Month of Ramadan and get their costumes for Eid Al-Fitr," noted Hassan.

Recongnised as one the most popular and profitable events in Oman, the Autumn Trade Fair 2011 is all set to showcase a wide collection of clothes, bags, jewellery, accessories, perfumes, gifts, furniture, herbs, spices, honey, food and beverage, and other merchandise at reasonable prices.
