Append announcement from Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) with respect to the periodic maintenance program (T&I)
With reference to the previous announcement by Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company ( Petro Rabigh ) dated June 5, 2011, regarding the periodic maintenance (T&I) for the whole complex, Petro Rabigh announces that the crude distillation unit, Ethane Cracker, Merox units, Polyethylene unit, HDPE unit, MEG, Butene unit and all utility units have been brought onstream by the end of June 2011.However, the High Olefins Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit (HOFCC) remains shutdown till the end of this month, which is contrary to what was previously announced (June 5,2011). This is due to the scheduling of additional maintenance work on the main fractionator of the HOFCC.
As a result, a decrease is expected in gasoline and polypropylene sales for the month of July. It is worth mentioning that Petro Rabigh has made several shipments of refined and petrochemical products from its facilities since startup procedures commenced last month.
