HSBC provides students with financial support
DOHA: HSBC is investing in local talents with a programme which provides students with financial support and internships opportunities to establish a long-term relationship with the bank.Eighteen students, who joined the HSBC Scholarship Programme, recently had the opportunity to engage in open dialogue with Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Qatar.
They discussed their progress and development throughout the programme. HSBC Qatar is actively driving the Qatarisation strategy in line with the Qatar Vision 2030 and implemented by the Ministry of Labour and the leadership of the country. The HSBC 's scholarship programme is designed for high-calibre Qatari students.
Mostafawi said: "It is encouraging and exciting to meet with these students, knowing that the pipeline of talent for HSBC as well as the country is very strong. I can look forward to a skilled workforce for the future and many of these students are already showing great potential."
Sara Ateeq, Qatari Work Force Development Manager, said the success of the HSBC Scholarship programme is proven and will be continued in future. " HSBC has a number of Qatarisation initiatives including sponsorships, internships and the International Graduate Programme for High Caliber Qatari graduates who wish to be part of an International Organization," said Ateeq.
