Crédit Agricole Egypt discusses future of SMEs at B2B Conference and Exhibition
CAIRO, 22 June 2011 - Crédit Agricole Egypt ( CAE ) participated as a gold sponsor at the 1st Annual EJB B2B Conference and Exhibition held in Cairo on June 14th 2011 at the Intercontinental Semiramis Hotel. The one day event, organized by the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), brought together Egypt's business community for a chance to network, grow and be part of Egypt's young business professionals.
During the session titled "Small and Medium Business: The Backbone of the New Egyptian Economy", Mr. Walie Lotfy, Head of Enterprises Banking, offered insights about the future of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as the banking sector's supporting role. Walie explained that SMEs are the cornerstone of Egypt's economic future and key drivers of social growth. He also stressed on the importance of mandating one governing body to support this emerging sector to allow consolidation of efforts and clear responsibility and accountability.
Crédit Agricole Egypt has been working on expanding its service portfolio to cater the different needs of SMEs.
