Qatar Airways unveils global TV campaign
DOHA: Qatar Airways yesterday unveiled its newest global television campaign promoting the airline's expanding network of over 100 destinations worldwide and its award-winning cabin crew.Launched at the Paris Air Show, the suite of commercials focuses on the globalisation of the award-winning airline and its fine hospitality.
The commercials go to air on leading international TV channels across Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America, effective yesterday.
Targeting leisure and business travellers, two variants of the "Beyond the Cabin" commercial, underscore the airline's Five Star service and genuine warm hospitality and caring qualities of the airline's cabin crew on the ground and in the air.
The commercials were created by Batey, a Singapore-based creative advertising agency. Highly regarded in creative circles for his stunning cinematography, Director of Cinematography, Michael Buckley, was behind the multi-million dollar campaign, which took six months to execute.
The commercials will be aired on all major global and regional news networks including BBC, CNN, Channel News Asia, Al Jazeera, Sky News, CNBC TV 18, Euronews, and TV5 Monde, as well as Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Orbit Showtime.
The campaign is also being promoted as an online contest on the airline's web site www.qatarairways.com and Facebook page with open tickets to any of Qatar Airways ' destinations as prizes.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said the new campaign promises to showcase the fine hospitality and the true international flavour of their operations.
"With this new campaign, we portray the airline's uncompromising dedication to the finest levels of service, and capture the sceneries and the vibrant hallmarks of the many exciting destinations that Qatar Airways flies to around the world."
