Bahrain TV signs HD broadcast technology deal with Sony Professional Solutions MEA
Information Affairs Authority Kingdom of Bahrain adopts Sony Professional XDCAM in migration to tapeless format
Following extensive testing and evaluation, the IAA awarded the contract to Sony PSMEA for the supply of several Sony PDW-F800 Professional Disc Camcorders, PDW-HD1500 Studio Recorders, HD Monitors plus a range of accessories including wireless microphones, LCD HD colour viewfinders, portable sound mixers, portable lighting systems and recording media. The PDW-F800 Professional Disc Camcorders are equipped with a powerful 2/3" CCD and their recording format (XDCAM HD 422) provides an ideal combination of efficient workflow, data security and economy in a future-proof digital archive medium. The solution will enable IAA to record and archive news, sports and dramatic TV content in digital HD, as well as prepare content for broadcast to the Kingdom's viewers quicker and in higher quality format.
