Bank Audi's "Loubnani" Card Brings Home the "Best New Card" Award at the "Cards Middle East" Conference in Abu Dhabi
Beirut, June 6, 2011: After winning the "Grand Cristal" Award and the "Cristal" Award at the MENA Crystal Festival for its TV ad which highlighted the Lebanese Pound's glorious days, Bank Audi 's "Loubnani" card has now won the "Best New Card" Award for the Middle East region at the "Cards Middle East 2011" conference in Abu Dhabi, the region's most important card and payment event, making Bank Audi the only Lebanese bank to bring home an award. The conference's 12th edition, which was held on May 17, 2011 at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, gave banks, telecom operators and government institutions the chance to discuss the future of cards and payment methods, and to share the most advanced technologies in the industry.
The "Smart Card" Awards aim at rewarding banks, multinational organisations and government institutions for their contribution to the success and development of the smart card industry in the Middle East, while continuing to set standards of excellence.
Mrs. Randa Bdeir, Head of Electronic Banking and Cards Services at Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group , stated on this occasion: "This new recognition of the "Loubnani" card is yet another landmark in Bank Audi 's innovation journey. We expect "Loubnani", which was designed to encourage the use of the Lebanese Pound, to become the favourite credit card of the Lebanese people, because it takes root in their pride in the Lebanese heritage and in their love for their country."
Concluding, Bdeir underlined that, just like its motto - "Let the Lira Have Its Say" - had predicted, "Loubnani" has once again "had its say" in the regional card industry.
