AhliBank, OIFC sign agreement
MUSCAT -- AhliBank has signed an agreement with Oman Investment and Finance Company ( OIFC ) to facilitate bill payments -- water, electricity and Omantel bills -- through AhliBank 's Internet banking services.The agreement was signed at AhliBank 's head office by Shabir M al Yousef, CEO, OIFC and Abdul Aziz al Balushi, CEO of AhliBank .
This service launched by AhliBank offers its customers bill payment facilities round the clock using 'Mye-bank", the online banking services of AhliBank . The bill payment through AhliBank 's Internet banking will ensure immediate on-line update of the payment records for the customers. All utility bills currently issued through OIFC -- water, electricity and Omantel (landline, GSM and Internet) would be covered under this service.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Aziz al Balushi, CEO of AhliBank said, "As leading organisations in the service sector, both AhliBank and OIFC are committed to ensuring efficient and convenient customer service. We are confident that the current arrangement between OIFC and AhliBank will help customers in managing their bill payments from the comforts of their home, at the click of a button. We will continue to invest in bringing value added benefits to all our customers as we continue to build a stronger retail and commercial banking business in the Sultanate".
Shabir M al Yousuf, CEO of OIFC remarked, "As the journey of improvement never ends, OIFC has successfully accomplished the tie-up with AhliBank in order to be a part in adding more convenience to our mutual customers. Payment of utility bills is a common area between OIFC and our customers' personal banks. Instant on-line updating and reconciling of customer transactions, would add remarkable convenience to all the mutual customers".
