Online Careers Portal Reveals More Than 300 Career Opportunities with Sky News Arabia
29 May 2011, Abu Dhabi - Sky News Arabia, the joint venture between BSkyB and the Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation (ADMIC), has officially launched a custom careers website to help drive its ambitious recruitment plans. Sky News Arabia intends to employ more than 300 journalists and media professionals in its Abu Dhabi headquarters and in news bureaux across the MENA region and worldwide. The channel is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2012.

Opportunities for more than 130 staff across nearly 50 job roles are currently open to qualified applicants at http://careers.skynewsarabia.com. Vacancies for 200 more positions will go live in the weeks to come.

Commenting, Nart Bouran, Director of News for Sky News Arabia, said "We have witnessed tremendous interest from the media community since the channel was announced late last year. Now that our online recruitment portal is live, we are in an even better position to assess the resources available in the market, benefit from choosing the best local talent, and integrate them in a news organization that is truly unique in its vision for the Arab media."

Sky News Arabia plans to staff a number of bureaux across the world including; Cairo, Beirut, Riyadh, Islamabad, Baghdad, Damascus, Rabat, Washington, London, Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem.
