Lebanon needs Iran's expertise: Mikati
Beirut, May 26, IRNA -- Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati said on Thursday that Lebanon needs Iran's economic and technical experiences, expertise and capabilities hailing Iran's constructive role in Lebanon's internal developments.Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate made the remark in a meeting with Islamic Republic of Iran's ambassador in Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi in Beirut.
Prime Minister-designate Mikati and Iranian envoy discussed bilateral ties and also the latest political developments in the Middle East.
Mikati said that he will pursue political stability and economic prosperity of Lebanon, as well as support Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement.
He pointed out that as soon as his government is formed, he would be ready to enhance diplomatic and economic relations with Iran.
Iranian ambassador Roknabadi for his part said that the Iranian government is ready to help Lebanon in forming a new government.
Referring to the agreements signed between Iran and Lebanon in different fields, Roknabadi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to help Lebanon and cooperate with Lebanon in different areas, especially economic abd development projects, as well as implement the agreements.
