Amadeus extends its commitment to Lebanese travel community
• Amadeus Lebanon gathered leading travel company executives at exclusive event to explore the next generation of travel industry
Beirut, Lebanon - Amadeus , a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, hosted an exclusive event in Beirut to discuss the future of travel industry as seen by Amadeus and discuss how Amadeus is planning to help them succeed with its innovative technology in an evolving travel arena.
Amadeus regional and market directors gave an insight into the strengths of Amadeus and introduced attendees to the company's latest cutting edge products and solutions that simplify and automate the travel agents work load and enhance customer service.
At the event, particular emphasis was laid on discussing innovation, Amadeus investment in R&D, e-commerce solutions, and introduction to the most comprehensive content experience. The Amadeus Content Store Middle East solution, the region's first tool of its kind to provide a diverse wealth of content, was introduced to attendees. It incorporates a single screen access to search, compare and book over 100,000 world-wide hotel properties from the most popular wholesalers and aggregators in the region.

Amadeus in the Middle East and North Africa
Amadeus is represented by 17 local Amadeus Commercial Organisations (ACOs) servicing 21 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
Amadeus has signed a deal with the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO), wherein Amadeus entered into a 10-year exclusive distribution agreements with 13 leading airlines from the AACO. The 13 airlines - Air Algérie, Afriqiyah Airways, EgyptAir, Etihad Airways, Kuwait Airways, Libyan Airlines, Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Sudan Airways, Syrian Arab Airlines, Tunisair, Yemen Airways and Royal Air Maroc, account for 68 per cent of reservations made by travel agencies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
