KFH-Bahrain wins Bahrain eContent Award 2011 for its iPhone and BlackBerry application
Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) has won the 'Bahrain eContent Award 2011' for its iPhone and BlackBerry application in the eBanking category, at a prestigious award ceremony held at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre.
H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the SCICT (Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology) presented the award to KFH-Bahrain's Executive Manager and Head of Banking Group Mr. Khalid Rafea for KFH-Bahrain's iPhone and BlackBerry application.
The annual award ceremony, which is held in order to select quality e-content and promote creativity and innovation in the development of new media applications in Bahrain, was attended by ministers, Shura Council and Parliament members, diplomats, businessmen and other VIP's.
The main criteria to be eligible to win the eBanking category award were defined as the following: quality and comprehensiveness of content, ease of use, value added through interaction and animation, attractiveness of design, quality in technical craftsmanship and strategic importance for the global development of the Information Society.
KFH-Bahrain launched its iPhone and BlackBerry application at the beginning of 2011. It includes a range of functions such as finance calculators, updated news, location services for Baytik Ijara merchants, ATMs and branches, in addition to information about KFH-Bahrain's products and services.
The launch of KFH-Bahrain's application on iPhone and BlackBerry is in-line with the Bank's vision of making the experience with KFH-Bahrain as simple and as convenient as possible by utilizing a wide range of communication channels through state of the art technologies to make this vision a reality. The application will be updated periodically to cater to the ever-changing user needs. Users can easily download the application by visiting iTunes or www.kfhapps.com.
