BMI Bank launches new credit card payment channel

Manama, Bahrain, May 11th, 2011: Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank , today launched its latest credit card online repayment channel in partnership with Benefit, Bahrain's national electronic network for financial transactions. Customers of the Bank can now pay their credit card bill online using any benefit enabled debit card with a payment option between the outstanding balance, minimum payment due or choosing an amount of their own to pay.

Announcing the launch of the service, Jamal Al-Hazeem, Chief Executive Officer of BMI Bank said:

"In line with our commitment towards enhancing our customers banking experience as well as providing them with convenient payment channels, I am pleased to announce this new service. Our ePayment gateway offers customers a safe and secure environment in which to pay their credit card bills without having to visit a branch which enhances customer convenience. Additionally our credit card customers don't have to worry about lengthy registration processes. The gateway hosted on our website bmibank.com.bh and available free of cost, can be accessed by all our customers by simply entering their credentials (credit card number and CPR number).

We will continue to invest in bringing in value added benefits to all our customers as we continue to build a stronger retail and commercial banking business in Bahrain."

Customers can access the gateway through the Bank's website bmibank.com.bh and click on ePayment tab under the eBanking section. A direct access is available under the link https://payments.bmibank.com
