Teka Kuchentechnik projects 20% Middle East growth for 2011
Market gaining strength
Over 40% sales gained as of 2009
Abu Dhabi focus of major growth
With a steady stance during the recent economic downturn, Teka has managed to expand its dealer network though struggling with sales - with 2010 seeing 112 dealers in the UAE as opposed to just double digits in 2009. "Though it has been a struggle for all of us during the past two years, our vision has been unwavering - support our partners and clients at all times - and we are finally seeing the benefits," commented Arturo Manso, Managing Director at Teka Küchentechnik Middle East.
This business strategy has seen the manufacturer regain over 40% of sales over those in 2009. With over 150 projects spread across the UAE, Teka has already forecast a further 20% growth in sales for 2011 with the impending launch of their new collection of high range sinks including the LED illumination and glass sinks, along with an eye on environmental sustainability with their kitchen appliances. Teka's recently introduced Intelligent Power Management (IPM) appliances have been developed with minimum power consumption in mind as well as for buildings in which there are power restrictions.
To celebrate their achievements, the company recently held their Annual Event in Abu Dhabi, which attracted more than 400 guests from across the industry including the main developers, contractors, kitchen cabinet studios, consultants and interior designers.

In the seven years since Teka was established in Dubai, it has grown from a single employee to 40 people strong and has one of the biggest networks of dealers in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. The company attributes its success to two factors, its strongest point being that it is the only manufacturer of quality kitchen appliances that deals directly with the consumer cutting out agents and intermediaries and providing a direct and close post sales service. The second aspect is based on the company's strong work ethic and high quality standards of its products.
