The First St. Regis Hotel in the Middle East to Bring Timeless Elegance to Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi
The iconic St. Regis brand is extending its legacy to Abu Dhabi with the opening of the first St. Regis hotel in the Middle East on November 1, 2011. The Hotel's General Manager John Pelling showcased the impressive model of the Resort at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, between 2 - 5 May 2011.The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort will be a landmark hotel in Abu Dhabi. The hotel will comprise 380 rooms and is located on the pristine white natural beach of Saadiyat, framed by the Gary Player designed Saadiyat Beach 18-hole golf course, 33 St. Regis-branded villas, 259 St. Regis branded apartments, an entertainment complex of shops and restaurants, a function area capable of seating 1,500 guests for dinner, a Spa with 13 treatment rooms as well as a St. Regis athletic club. All this just 10 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
As of this month, John Pelling is joined by his hand-picked Executive Committee, including Marwan Fadel, Area Director of Sales and Marketing and Max Wiegerinck, Hotel Manager.
The St. Regis brand brings with it to the UAE a century old tradition of uncompromising ingenuity and European hospitality. A team of intuitive butlers will offer a bespoke, discreet service, while the Spa will offer internationally acclaimed, rejuvenating treatments which blend traditional remedies with modern technology.
