Yamama Saudi Cement Company (YSCC) announced its interim financial results for the period ended 31 March 2011

Yamama Saudi cement company ( YSCC ) generated net profit for the first quarter amounting to (SAR 180 million) an increase of 9%, compared to the same period last year (SAR 165 million) and increase of 12% compared to the fourth quarter 2010 (SAR 160 million).

The total gross profit for the first quarter amounted to (SAR 196 million) an increase of 9%, compared to the same period last year (SAR 179 million).

The net operating profit for the first quarter amounted to (SAR 184 million) an increase of 9%, compared to the same period last year (SAR 169 million).

EPS for three months were SAR 1.33 compared to SAR 1.22 for the same period last year.

The main reason for the increase in profits is due the operational & marketing efficiency of the company compared to the same quarter of previous year and to increase sales from the previous quarter.

Please note: - some figures have been reclassified for the previous period in accordance with the current period presentation.
