Indonesian Firm Invests In Petchem Complex

An official at the National Petrochemical Company of Iran said they had reached an agreement with Pusri firm from Indonesia to build a new petrochemical complex in Pars Special Economic and Energy Zone, southern Iran.

Ahmad Reza Heydarnia said the new plant will annually produce 1.15 million tons of urea and ammoniac, Mehr News Agency reported.

He added other agreements had been signed with Denmark's Haldor Topsoe and Italy's Saipem companies for providing technical know-how and necessary product licenses as well as carrying out fundamental engineering studies.
