RJ inks service agreement with Global Collect

Amman - Royal Jordanian (RJ) has signed a service agreement with Global Collect to process its online credit card payments.

The agreement will cover over 25 currencies throughout the Mena, Europe, Asia and North America.

The agreement will also allow RJ passengers to buy their tickets upon calling the RJ call centre and provide RJ agents with information on their credit cards.

A future expansion of the partnership will add alternative payment methods such as real-time banking, cash and bank transfers, to tap into additional customer segments preferring non-card payments, a statement said.

Next to the multi-currency card solution, Global Collect provides a range of value-added services: strategic payments advice by dedicated airline consultants, online & call center customer support and advanced fraud screening. Using the Hosted Merchant Link solution, furthermore, allows RJ to design its online check out section in line with its branding while letting Global Collect to take care of meeting compliance rules - such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) - regarding processing and storing sensitive data.

' RJ is glad to partner with a leading payment service provider that has a global experience in different industries, particularly travel and ticketing,' said RJ president/CEO Hussein Dabbas.

'We are delighted to welcome RJ to our ever-growing list of air carrier clients. We also look forward to helping RJ expand its e-commerce activities by taking advantage of our unrivalled portfolio of alternative payment methods in the near future - an upward scalability we offer to all merchants,' added Koen Vanpraet, CCO of Global Collect.
